Update: The Agreement is signed by both parties.
We all – in the United Kingdom and the European Union – got lastly a Christmas present: Finally both parts will separate with an agreement. Thanks God. At the moment it’s just a draft and both sides need to sign the document.
The question is: Will the ‘Trade and Cooperation Agreement’ hold to both sides what the title tells? This only time will tell, or politicians will tell. I hope that they will only listen to their common people, guys and girls, and do the obvious. Maybe I should tell them, that they have to keep it down to the letter in their agreement? But I guess that would not help.
For now I do have two documents: The ‘TCA Summary’, 34 page, and the complete text of the ‘Trade and Cooperation Agreement’ between both of them. Last one only the draft version. I recommend to read the summary for everyone who is interested.
Here is the TCA_SUMMARY_PDF.
Here is the TRADE AND COOPERATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE EUROPEAN UNION AND THE EUROPEAN ATOMIC ENERGY COMMUNITY, OF THE ONE PART, AND THE UNITED KINGDOM OF GREAT BRITAIN AND NORTHERN IRELAND, OF THE OTHER PART
What will come out of the ‘TCA’ – only time… ahem, politicians will show. And we will a have a closer look to that.
